The Mission

Dreamlight Theatre Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a home for musical theatre in New York City. By producing both original and established works in bold new ways, and through the support and development of emerging theatre artists, we are creating an environment where chances are taken, boundaries are pushed, and the depths of the imagination can be explored.

Chad Hudson & Chip Klose are the co-founding Producing Directors of Dreamlight Theatre Company. They started in the business as actors, and both remain proud members of Actor’s Equity Association. Their combined resumes boast many of the biggest names in the industry, and some of the best theatres in the country including Paper Mill Playhouse, Walnut Street Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Prince Music Theatre, and Maine State Music Theatre to name a few. Shortly after meeting, they realized that above all, they shared an unparalleled love for musical theatre.

Dreamlight Theatre Company was born in January of 2005, as a non-profit organization dedicated solely to musical theatre. The company produces workshops, readings, concerts, full productions, as well as two sideline projects: Bright Lights, a concert series showcasing new and
emerging writers in musical theatre, as well as an industry interview forum called Careers in the Theatre, hosted by Broadway actor and professional life coach, Roger DeWitt.

The goal of Dreamlight Theatre Company is to become New York City’s home for Musical Theatre,
where artists and audiences alike will find
exceptional, vibrant theatre of the highest quality.
